Founded in March 2007, Confederal Technology is a corporation incorporated under the law of British Columbia, Canada, with its main place of business in West Vancouver, BC, and offices in Renton WA/Simi Valley, CA, USA and Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian China. Confederal is one of the leading CDMA/UMTS/LTE/5G enterprise network provider, our focus is to provide comprehensive dispatching service, mobile voice/SMS service, Push to Talk service, Mobile data/video monitoring service and positioning/tracking service for coal mine, government and other industries.

Partnered with China Coal Automation Research Institute, Confederal successfully developed and commercialized a CDMA communication system for coal mine in August 2007, in November 2008, Confederal CDMA system for coal mine passed the official appraisal organized by China Coal Association in November 2008. By the end of year 2012, over 49 sets of the systems had been installed in China cola mines. Partnered with the University of British Columbia, Confederal also provides a portable CDMA emergency response management system for government, military, public security, and disaster recovery; and a highly integrated, cost-effective UMTS solution for enterprises

In December, 2018, Confederal Technology and Fenbushi Capital built a Joint Venture to develop a new generation of distribution network for blockchain applications, Founded in 2015, Fenbushi Capital is the first China-based venture capital firm that exclusively invests in Blockchain-enabled companies.

Andy Tang, Chairman

Andy Tang co-founded CFC in March 2007 and served as Chairman, before he moved to Canada in 2004, he was the Director of Microwave Communication Department of Beijing Capitel. Mr.Tang has more than 40 years experience in telecom industry, he holds a ME Degree from the Chinese Academy of Telecommunication Technology, China.

Prof. Roy (Xiaorong) Lai, CEO and President

Prof. Lai has 30+ years experience of high ranking leadership in telecom industry, he co-founded Confederal in March 2007 and served as President. Prior to that, he was the VP of Arasor International Inc, USA. Before he moved to Canada in August 2006, he was the VP of Beijing Capitel, China Potevio(Potevio had been ranked No.1 among Top 100 Electronic Enterprises in China) , Managing Director of Capitel Research, General Manager of Capitel CDMA Division and General Manager of Capitel Oversea Business Unit. Previously, Dr. Lai was the President of Eastern Kingnet (China) Ltd, and he became the Managing Director of R&D Department of Concord Telecom USA when he was 26 years old. Dr. Lai is also the Chief Counsel of China Coal Automation Research Institute, and he holds Adjunct/Guest/Distinguished Professor titles at 10+ universities such as Beijing University of Posts and Telecom, Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Sciences in China, National Ilan University/National Dong Hwa University in Taiwan, NYIT in the US,. He was ranked No.4 among the 2004 Top 10 Telecom People in China. Dr. Lai was a visitor in Professor Son Vuong's lab, Computer Science, UBC from August 2006 to July 2008, he graduated from Tsinghua University and he is an IEEE Senior Member since 2011.

Ashish Duggal, Chief Operating Officer

With 25 years of experience in IT industry, Ashish Duggal joined Confederal Technology as Chief Operation Officer in December 2010. Prior to this role, Mr. Duggal held various positions of Sales, Engineering, Product Management and R&D with technology companies in North America. Mr. Duggal holds MSc and BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Alberta, and he is the inventor of two US patents.

Simon Gao, Vice President, CTO

Dr. Simon Gao joined Confederal in July 2011 as Vice President and CTO, Prior to joining Confederal, Simon was the senior R&D manager at Motorola China, Prior to that, Simon was the CTO of CDMA network division at Beijing Capitel, China Potevio, the leading Telecom equipments provider in China, he developed Capitel's first CDMA network system and the world first CDMA network system for coal mine together with Roy Lai. Simon holds a Ph.D degree in mobile system from Beijing Jiaotong University, China.

James Zhang, Vice President, R&D Director

With 23 years of experience in IT,James Zhang joined Confederal in February 2018 as Vice President and R&D Director. Prior to joining Confederal, James had been engaging in the R&D and engineering of Ningxia Diantong Group, China. James holds a bachelor degree in computer science from Wuhan University, a MBA degree from New York Institute of Technology.

Carol Li, Vice President of Engineering

With 15 years of experience in Telecom industry, Carol Li joined Confederal in March 2011 as Vice President in charge of mobile network planning, design and implementation. Prior to joining Confederal, Carol had been engaging in the R&D and engineering of mobile networks at Capitek Co., Ltd. Carol holds a bachelor degree in electronic engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, a MBA degree from Tsinghua University, and Carol also accepted training course from Langara College, Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Lei Li, Chief Market Officer

Mr. Lei Li joined Confederal in August 2008 and served as CMO, prior to that, he was the general manager of CDMA Division, Tibet Branch, China Telecom. Mr. Li has more than 26 year experience in telecom industry, he holds a BS degree from Changchun College of Posts and Telecommunications, a MBA degree from Beijing University, China.
